What are the advantages of porcelain insulators?

(1) More environmentally friendly: It is produced from natural materials through simple mixing and curing; it can be disposed of in landfills alongside other waste. It can also serve as a recycled feedstock for the manufacture of ceramics and similar products.

(2) Compared with polymers, it exhibits higher dielectric strength: dry‑state porcelain insulators demonstrate superior electrical performance as insulating materials, yielding more favorable results in type tests and offering a longer service life under conditions involving charge accumulation and other transient electrical phenomena.

(3) Possessing high thermal stability and mechanical strength, the ceramic can withstand temperatures as high as 1000°C; it exhibits significantly enhanced resistance to surface degradation, remaining stable during charging without undergoing decomposition or forming carbonates; moreover, its surface remains stable under ultraviolet irradiation.

(4) The surface of ceramic insulators is highly smooth and hard, providing resistance against rodents, termites, birds, and other animals that can compromise the integrity of polymers.

(5) The high plasticity, the possibility of precision grinding, and the excellent adhesion and mechanical properties of ceramic insulators during manufacturing enable their wide range of applications: contactors, disconnect switches, power transformers, capacitors, as well as strain‑relief fittings with highly polished surfaces and non‑standard insulators (such as filters).

(6) The highly vitrified surface of the ceramic insulator gives the product superior self‑cleaning performance in highly polluted areas; it also exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in acidic and corrosive environments.

(7) The combination of ceramic insulators with cast-iron or aluminum structures, using conventional bonding agents, can withstand transient phenomena during discharge or brush‑discharge processes.

(8) Ceramic materials exhibit exceptionally high mechanical strength under pressure and hardness: ceramic insulators remain undeformed unless subjected to external forces. They can ensure a service life of up to 40 years, thereby providing long-term operational reliability for numerous users across a wide range of applications.

(9) Modify the design to adapt to the environment: The product is available in multiple shapes during the manufacturing process.

(10) Ceramic insulators look better: they feature a timeless design.
