On September 30, on the eve of National Day, nearly 20 employees from Jiangxi Provincial Transmission and Transformation Engineering Company were conducting tower‑erection work at Site No. 8001 of Section 4 of the 1,000‑kV Nanchang–Changsha UHV transmission line in Sixi Town, Shanggao County, Jiangxi Province. Hu Gebiao, head of the Owner’s Project Department at State Grid Jiangxi Electric Power Co., Ltd., stated that construction along the entire line will continue without a holiday during the National Day period, adhering to the original schedule to ensure completion and commissioning within the year.

According to reports, the Nanchang–Changsha UHV transmission line project (Jiangxi section) spans a total of 2 × 227.13 kilometers and involves the construction of 531 new steel towers. As of September 30, all foundation concrete pours have been completed; tower erection has been finished for 372 towers, representing 70.1% of the total; and conductor stringing has progressed to 2 × 45.996 km, accounting for 20.3%. Across the entire route, 43 conductor‑stringing sections have been established, with a cumulative total of 10 completed. Currently, 4,060 workers are on site, including 3,844 field personnel, supported by 18 sets of cranes ranging from 25 to 500 tons and nine sets of conductor‑stringing equipment.

It is understood that, to ensure safety management, epidemic prevention and control, and comprehensive social order and stability at construction sites during the National Day holiday, State Grid Jiangxi Electric Power has implemented escalated oversight for Level III and higher‑risk operations. The company rigorously enforces the “Four Controls” and “Five Preventatives” requirements to resolutely prevent personal injury accidents.
